What is a waiver?
A waiver is a digital liability form guests complete before they can join your waitlist. This is especially useful for events, activations, and any business with liability requirements. NextMe works with any modern digital waiver software, including Jotform, DocuSign, and Smartwaiver. This article uses Jotform as an example, but the setup process is nearly identical across providers.

Setting up your waiver
Head to your Self Check-in Settings and toggle on Enable Waivers.
Paste your public waiver form URL into the Waiver Form URL field.
(Optional) Map your name and phone fields so guests don't have to re-enter information they already gave on the waiver. In Jotform, click a field, open the Advanced tab, and scroll down to find its Unique Name. These are often randomly generated (like "q4-text"), but you can edit them to something simpler if you'd like. Once you have the field names, paste them into NextMe under Field Mapping.
Copy the Redirect URL NextMe generates. This URL carries any mapped fields back to your waitlist form. In Jotform, go to Settings > Thank You Page, select Redirect to an external link after submission, and paste the URL. Save, and you're all set.
Once enabled, guests will complete your waiver first and be automatically redirected back to your waitlist form to finish joining:
