Overview
The Technical Solution feature allows you to review and develop your proposal's technical and management approach. Technical Solution mirrors the structure of the Performance Work Statement (PWS), Statement of Work (SOW), or Statement of Objectives (SOO), ensuring alignment with solicitation requirements.
Technical Solution serves as the foundation for your Proposal Outline and Pink Team Draft.
Technical Solution is generated automatically as part of the Kickoff Package workflow, the fifth item built after the Compliance Matrix, Win Themes, Key Personnel, and Past Performance. NextStage AI analyzes your solicitation documents and generates structured task area approaches aligned with the PWS/SOW/SOO.
Once generated:
Review the generated approaches for accuracy
Refine content to match your actual technical approach
Add or restructure task areas as needed
Check Technical Solution as Reviewed to move on to the next item in Kickoff Package
Reviewing and Refining Task Areas
Select Technical Solution from the left-hand navigation panel to review what NextStage AI has generated. Task areas are mapped from the PWS/SOW, each with a draft approach, and listed in the left-hand "On this page" navigation for quick jumping between them.
Each Task Area page includes:
Task Area title and description: the scope of the task area, drawn from the solicitation
Proposed Solution & Approach, broken into subsections such as:
Solution Overview
Methodologies, Tools, Technologies
Implementation Approach & Phasing
Compliance & Security
Operations & Maintenance
Benefits
Risks & Mitigations (each risk paired with its mitigation)
Related requirements: a linked table of the specific Compliance Matrix requirements tied to this task area, showing ID, requirement text, Type (e.g., SOW), and Section. Each row can be previewed (eye icon) or removed from the task area (X icon), with an Edit option for the section overall
Not every task area will include every subsection, the AI includes what's relevant to that scope of work.
Each Task Area has the same Edit and Edit with AI options used in Win Themes:
Edit: opens the task area for direct manual editing
Edit with AI: opens a Nexus AI chat box scoped to that specific task area, where you can ask for refinements, request Nexus AI upload documents or references to inform the edit, and prompt it to update the task area once you're satisfied
A Delete (trash icon) option is also available on each task area.
Adding a Task Area Manually
If a task area wasn't captured automatically, or you need additional flexibility to tailor your technical approach, click Add Task Area to define a custom section aligned with your proposal strategy.
Marking Technical Solution as Reviewed
Once you're satisfied with all task areas, check the Reviewed box at the top of the page. Move to the next item, Proposal Outline, by selecting it in the left-hand navigation panel.
How Technical Solution Is Used
Technical Solution supports:
Proposal Outline generation
Technical and management volume development
Pink Team Draft creation
Compliance alignment with solicitation requirements
Best Practices
Confirm the PWS, SOW, or SOO was included in Kickoff Package's documents, since Technical Solution is generated directly from those
Review generated task areas before editing, rather than starting from scratch
Refine task areas using Edit with AI and manual edits
Ensure task areas align with solicitation structure and numbering
Validate completeness before generating the Pink Team Draft
Expected Outcome
A structured set of task area approaches aligned to solicitation requirements and ready to support outline generation and draft development.
