Compliance Review

How to catch compliance gaps before Red Team using AI-powered Compliance Review of your Pink Team Drafts against the Compliance Matrix.

Written by Matt Miller

Overview

Compliance Review runs an AI-powered check of your Pink Team Drafts, or any uploaded documents, against your Compliance Matrix to see what's met, partial, or missing. Each requirement is scored as Met, Partially Met, Not Met, or Not Applicable, with supporting evidence pulled directly from your proposal content.

This gives you a fast, requirement-by-requirement compliance check before moving from Pink Team to Red Team, without manually cross-referencing the draft against the matrix yourself.

Accessing Compliance Review

You can run a Compliance Review two ways:

  • Select Compliance Review from the left-hand navigation panel, under the Review section

  • From inside a Pink Team Draft, open the three-dot menu at the top right of the editor and select Compliance Review

Running a Review

If no review has been run yet, you'll see a No compliance review yet state. Click Run Review (or Create New Review at the top of the page) to open the Create Compliance Review window, which has two tabs:

Pink Team Drafts Choose which draft volumes to review against the Compliance Matrix. Volumes are grouped by the outline they belong to, and the outline is labeled if it's the Latest version. Use Deselect all to clear selections. The window shows how many volumes are currently selected.

Documents Upload one or more documents to review against the Compliance Matrix instead of, or in addition to, a Pink Team Draft. Supported file types: .docx, .pdf.

Once you've made your selections, click Run Review.

Reading the Review Summary

After a review runs, the Review Summary shows:

  • Which documents/volumes were reviewed

  • Overall completion, e.g., "16/19 requirements met (84%)", with a color-coded progress bar

  • Counts broken out by status: Met, Partial, Not Met, N/A

  • When the review was run and by whom

Reviewing Requirement Results

Below the summary, each requirement appears with:

  • ID and Requirement text

  • Status: Met, Partial, Not Met, or N/A

  • Evidence: the specific proposal section the requirement was matched to, with a quoted excerpt showing exactly what in your draft satisfies (or fails to satisfy) the requirement

  • Actions: view, edit, or delete (trash icon) the result for that requirement

Use the search bar to find a specific requirement by status or evidence text, the Status filter to narrow by Met/Partial/Not Met/N/A, and Reset Filters to clear them.

Click Export to download the results, or Add result to manually add a requirement result that wasn't captured automatically.

Best Practices

  • Run a Compliance Review after generating or editing a Pink Team Draft, before moving to Red Team

  • Pay close attention to Partial and Not Met requirements first, these represent the biggest risk to compliance

  • Use the Evidence column to verify the AI matched the right section, don't just trust the status label

  • Re-run the review after making significant edits to a draft, since results reflect the draft as of when the review was run

  • Use the Documents tab to spot-check external content (e.g., a partner's volume) against your Compliance Matrix before incorporating it

Expected Outcome

A clear, requirement-by-requirement view of how well your draft satisfies the solicitation's requirements, with supporting evidence, so gaps can be addressed before Red Team and final submission.
