Pipeline Stages

This article explains how to add, edit, reorder, and delete stages in your pipeline.

Pipeline stages represent phases in your business development lifecycle, such as Identification, Qualification, Capture, Proposal, and Award.


Prerequisite

You must have Admin permissions to add, edit, or delete pipeline stages.


Add a Stage

Step 1: Open Your Pipeline

Click Pipelines in the left navigation menu and open the pipeline where you want to add a stage.


Step 2: Click Add Stage

On the far right side of the pipeline view, click + Add Stage.


Step 3: Name the Stage

Enter a name for the new stage and click Add Stage.

The new stage will immediately appear in your pipeline.


Reorder Stages

You can reorder stages to match your business development workflow.

Click and hold the drag handle icon next to the stage name, then drag the stage left or right to reposition it.


Edit a Stage

Step 1: Open the Edit Stage Window

Click directly on the stage name.

This will open the Edit Stage window.


Step 2: Update Stage Settings

In the Edit Stage window, you can:

  1. Update Stage Name: Change the name of the stage.

  2. Manage Card Fields: Card Fields control what information appears on each opportunity card in that stage.

    • Examples include:

      • Company Value

      • RFP Release Date

      • Capture Manager

These fields appear directly on opportunity cards.

  • Manage Column Fields: Column Fields determine what values are summarized at the top of the stage column.

  • Show Recent Notes (Optional): Enable this option to display recent opportunity notes on cards.

Click Save Changes when finished.


Delete a Stage

To delete a stage:

  1. Click the stage name

  2. Click Delete Stage

  3. Confirm the deletion

Deleted stages cannot be recovered.

  • Organize opportunities by phase

  • Customize what information appears on opportunity cards

  • Align your pipeline with your capture and proposal workflow

  • Track pipeline progress visually
