Video Overview:
Searching for Opportunities
The NextStage Market Research feature allows you to find public contracting opportunities and contracting data to find new opportunities or conduct market research.
Search Options
Once you have accessed the Market Research tool you will see a dropdown to choose your source. By default, we only show solicitations with response dates that are not past due. If you would like to look at historical solicitations, you can remove the “Open” filter.
As you can see in the photo below, we are able to pull in opportunities from SAM.gov. The SAM.gov option in Market Research comes included with your subscription for no extra charge.
You can also refine your search by adding additional filters on the results. For instance, if you would like to only see solicitations issued by a specific agency, select your agency of choice in the Agency dropdown and the results will update automatically.
If you’d like to find out more about a specific result, clicking on the result will open a window on the right hand side containing details about the solicitation’s history, documents, and contact information. You’ll also find the source of our information, so you can verify the accuracy of the data.
You can also add this opportunity to your pipeline by clicking the Add to Pipeline button. This will create a new opportunity in the pipeline of your choosing. We’ll associate the newly created opportunity with the pipeline so you can receive updates on the solicitation.
Saved Searches
If there’s a search that you run repeatedly, you can quickly access results by creating a Saved Search. You’ll also receive a summary of the new search results in your daily NextStage email. You can create a saved search by clicking the “Save Search” button to the right of the search bar. This will create a Saved Search with all current filters and keywords.
You will be able to access your Saved Search from the Saved page on the side menu.
Awards
The Market Research feature also allows you to search for historical awards on NextStage. You can use award search to identify new contract vehicles, potential teaming partners, and potential clients. NextStage’s award data is the same underlying data as FPDS, but augmented with other data so that you can identify which contract vehicle or GSA schedule awards are associated with.
Start searching for awards by selecting the awards tab to the right of the search bar. You can refine your results by selecting filters. You can create new opportunities in the pipeline of your choosing when you click the Add to Pipeline option. We’ll automatically associate the historical award with the newly created pipeline so you have access to the most up to date information.
GovWin
One of the Market Research options that we offer is GovWin. This will require the GovWin Integration. More information about the integration can be found here.
Task Orders
Another Market Research option that we offer is Task Orders. The Task Orders option allows you to bring in opportunities from eBuy, and Email Sources.
Opportunities from eBuy require separate integrations. Information about pricing can be found here. Additional information about the eBuy integration can be found here.
We also include Email Task Order Management feature where you can access your opportunities that were sent through email. More information about the Task Order Management feature can be found here, and more information about pricing can be found here.
Contract Vehicles
In our Market Research tool we offer a Contract Vehicles option for no extra charge. The historical data is from USAspending / FPDS, and we create a profile for each Contract Vehicle. The profiles include a description, background data, a list of prime awards, analysis, and a list of task orders.
Vendors
Lastly, we offer a Vendors option in our Market Research tool. The data is historical, and sourced from USAspending / FPDS. This feature does not require any additional integration. This search option creates a profile for various vendors. The profiles include some background info / data, Obligations, Agency Breakdown, Contract Vehicles, Contract Vehicle List, Recent Awards, and Contacts.
