This article covers information about the reporting features in NextStage. Reports consist of Dashboards and Charts. Dashboards can be either public or private and contain Charts created and arranged by you and your team.
Dashboards
Creating Dashboards
Create a dashboard by going to the Reports page and clicking the New Dashboard button in the top right. You can make the dashboard publicly viewable by checking the “Anyone on my team can view” box.
Edit or Delete Dashboard
You can edit or delete dashboards you’ve created by clicking the edit pen icon or the delete trashcan icon in the Actions column of the dashboard table.
Charts
Adding a Chart
To add a chart, click on a dashboard from the Reports page and click the “Add Chart” button in the top right.
The Chart Builder is a powerful tool that lets you create reports from the metrics and information you’ve entered about your opportunities. Charts consist of Measure, Dimensions, and Filters.
Measures
Measures are a numeric data type that, as the name implies, measure something. For instance, measures include Total Estimated Values, Opportunity Counts, Task and Task Completed Counts, etc.
Select one or more measure from the dropdown - you can also type in the dropdown to filter options and find what you’re looking for faster.
Dimensions
Dimensions define the ways your measures are aggregated. Stated differently, they’re the way you slice and dice whatever you’re measuring.
For example, if you wanted to see the Total Estimated Value (measure) of your opportunities by their Pipeline Stage, you’d add the “Stage Name” dimension.
Filters
You can add filters to your chart to only render the data you’re interested in. To add a filter, click the Add Filter button. Next, select a dimension to filter on as well as the conditions for the filter.
For example, if we only want to view stages from a particular pipeline in our previous example, we can add a “Pipeline Name” filter where it is equal to “Main Pipeline”.
