Enabling GovWin Integration

Use your GovWin subscription to find and connect opportunities to NextStage.

NextStage integrates with your GovWin subscription to let you:

  • Associate and view GovWin Opportunities directly on NextStage

  • Search for GovWin opportunities directly on NextStage

  • Use GovWin data for auto-syncing

  • Standardize data with GovWin's government entity taxonomy

Setup Instructions

The GovWin integration requires an active GovWin subscription with the GovWin Webservices API for 3rd-party CRMs add-on. Before we can start, please ask your GovWin account manager about adding the GovWin Webservices API to your subscription. GovWin charges an additional fee for access to the GovWin Webservices API for 3rd-party CRMs.

You should receive a "webservices" account from GovWin, which we will use to connect to the API. You will have to update the password when you first try to sign in.

Once you've added the GovWin Web Services API to your account, you will need to create API Credentials for NextStage.

  1. From the top right "Account" Icon, select "Integrations" -> "Web Services Administration"

  2. Click on "Enable a New Application". Select "GovWin IQ Webservices API" and enter a descriptive name for the application. Click "Generate Client ID and Secret".


  3. Save the Client ID and Secret in a secure location.

  4. Navigate to your admin page and enter the details in the GovWin integration section. When entering your GovWin credentials, use an active GovWin account with access to the API. This can be any user's account tied to your subscription.

Troubleshooting the NextStage <> GovWin integration

If you're having trouble with the integration, here are a few common pitfalls setting up the GovWin Integration:

  1. PROBLEM: Incorrect Username or Password

    GovWin requires you to frequently update your password.

    FIX: Go to govwin.com and reset your password.

  2. PROBLEM: Incorrect API Application

    Verify that the application type for the application created in Step 2 is "GovWin IQ Webservices".

    FIX: Repeat Step 2 and update the Client ID and Client Secret on the admin page.

  3. PROBLEM: The connection is valid, but Searching GovWin opportunities does not work.

    This problem occurs when a web services GovWin account does not have access to GovWin Search. To verify that this is happening try to sign in to GovWin using the same account and try to search for an opportunity.
