3.0 Find leads (Lead Finder): Deep Dive

Purpose: The Target Search engine provides access to a global real-time database of over 200M+ B2B contacts. It is designed to help you identify your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) using granular filters or AI-driven natural language queries.

3.1 The Interface Layout

A. The Search Bar (AI & Suggestions)

Located at the top of the page, this bar allows for conversational queries.

  • Natural Language: Type queries like "Marketing Directors in SaaS companies in London with >5M revenue."

  • Smart Suggestions: As you type or click the bar, the system auto-suggests relevant categories:

    • Leadership Roles: Sales Executive, Sales Director, VP of Sales, Chief Sales Officer, Account Executive, etc.

    • Seniority Levels: C-Suite, VP, Director, Head, Partner, Founder.

B. The Refine Search Panel (Left Sidebar)

This is the command center for hard filtering. It contains 12+ primary filter categories (detailed in section 3.3 below).

  • Active Filters: Displays a count of currently applied filters (e.g., "Email Status (2)").

  • Action Buttons:

    • Clear: Resets the current form.

    • Save: Saves the current filter set as a "Saved Search" for quick recall later.

C. The Results Table

The central data grid displaying the leads that match your criteria.

  • Columns:

    • Match Score: A numerical score (0-100) indicating how well the lead fits your ICP.

    • Name & Contact: Full Name, Direct Email (100% availability), Phone Number (~30% availability).

    • Social: Direct link to personal LinkedIn Profile.

    • Company Data: Name, URL, Website link.

    • Job Title: The official title listed on their profile.

    • Location: City, State, Country.

    • Firmographics: Employee count, Revenue range, Industry.

    • Skills: Specific skills listed on their LinkedIn profile (e.g., "SaaS Sales," "Python").

3.2 Search Methods

Method A: AI-Powered Search

Best for users who want speed and prefer typing over clicking.

  1. Input: Type your request into the main search bar.

  2. Processing: The AI parses your sentence into specific filters (e.g., converts "Small startups" to "1-10 Employees" and "<$1M Revenue").

  3. Refinement: You can manually tweak the filters on the left panel after the AI generates the initial list.

Method B: Manual Filtering (Precision Mode)

Best for building highly specific lists. You can combine multiple filters using Boolean (AND/OR) logic.

1. Management Level

Filter by hierarchy/authority.

  • Options: Owner, Founder, C-Suite, Partner, VP, Head, Director, Manager, Senior, Entry, Intern.

2. Employee Range (Company Size)

Filter by the number of staff.

  • Ranges: < 5, 5–19, 10–19, 20–99, 50–99, 100–249, 250–499, 500–999, 1,000–4,999, 5,000–9,999, >10,000.

3. Revenue Range

Filter by estimated annual company revenue.

  • Ranges: < $500k, $500k–$1M, $1M–$2.5M, $2.5M–$5M, $5M–$10M, $10M–$20M, $20M–$50M, $50M–$100M, $100M–$500M, $500M–$1B, >$1 Billion.

4. Email Status

Filter by data confidence.

  • Valid Emails: Returns only contacts with verified, safe-to-send addresses.

  • Untested Emails: Returns contacts where the email is likely correct but not 100% verified (useful for broadening reach).

5. Geography (Location)

  • Country: Select from comprehensive global list (United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, India, etc. — covers 195+ nations).

  • States: Filter by specific state/province (e.g., California, New York, Bavaria, New South Wales).

  • City/Region: Filter by metropolitan area (e.g., Greater New York City Area, London, San Francisco Bay Area).

6. Industry

Massive selection of 150+ distinct verticals. Examples include:

  • Tech: SaaS, Enterprise Software, Internet, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Hardware.

  • Healthcare: BioTech/Drugs, Hospital/Clinic, Medical Equipment, Mental Healthcare.

  • Finance: Banking, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Insurance, Fintech.

  • Industrial: Construction, Automotive, Aviation, Manufacturing, Oil & Gas.

  • Services: Marketing/Advertising, Legal, Consulting, Staffing/Recruiting.

  • (Full list available in the dropdown menu).

7. Company Specifics

  • Company Name: Target a specific account (e.g., "Microsoft," "Tesla").

  • Company URL: Target via domain (e.g., apple.com).

  • Maximum Leads Per Company: Limits the number of people selected from a single organization (e.g., "Max 3 people per company" prevents spamming one client).

8. Role Specifics

  • Job Titles: Search for exact text matches (e.g., "DevOps Engineer").

  • Department: Filter by functional area (Sales, Marketing, Engineering, HR).

  • Skills: Filter by specific keywords in their profile bio (e.g., "Project Management," "Java," "Strategic Planning").

3.3 Taking Action

Once your search generates a list in the Results Table, you have two primary workflows:

Workflow 1: Assign to Agent (Start Campaign)

This moves leads directly into an active outreach sequence.

  1. Selection: You can manually check boxes next to specific names, OR select "All" from the current search query.

  2. Click "Assign to Agent": A popup will appear.

  3. Choose Agent: Select which AI Agent will handle these leads.

  4. Set Volume: Define how many leads to add (e.g., "Add 500 leads").

    • Note: If you set a "Max Leads Per Company" limit in the filters, it applies here.

  5. Confirm: The contacts are moved to My Targets and the campaign begins (subject to Agent settings).

Workflow 2: Export Data

This downloads the data for use outside of Nexuscale.

  1. Selection: Check the desired contacts.

  2. Click "Export CSV":

  3. Delivery: The system processes the request and emails a CSV file to your registered email address.

    • Data Included: First Name, Last Name, Email, Job Title, Company Name, Location, LinkedIn URL.

3.4 Pro-Tips for Better Search

  • Leverage the "Match Score": While sorting by score is not yet available, you should visually scan the "Match" column. A score of 40-50 usually indicates a decent fit based on industry/role, while 80+ is a perfect ICP match.

  • Boolean Logic in Titles: When searching Job Titles, simpler is often better. Using "Sales" will find "Director of Sales," "VP of Sales," and "Sales Manager."

  • Saved Searches: If you target the same persona often (e.g., "US Tech CTOs"), hit the Save button on the top left. This saves you from re-clicking 12 filters every time you log in.

  • Negative Filtering: Use the "Not Available" option in Revenue or Employee filters to exclude companies where data is missing, ensuring you only get leads with complete profiles.
