Overview

Structured interviews can reduce bias in the screening process and ensure that you’re truly evaluating the candidate competencies that matter most! Nimble offers users the ability to create a structured and consistent interview process by leveraging scorecards to organize questions, document notes, and review feedback from all participants.

Create a template

To create a scorecard template, click your name in the top right corner of the page and then click Settings. Navigate to the scorecard section and click the + New Scorecard button.

Add a title to the scorecard and set the user permissions by clicking on the Permissions dropdown and selecting which users can view and use the scorecard template.

If you’d like to create your scorecard by starting from a pre-existing scorecard, click the “work from an existing scorecard” link to select a template to work from.

Alternatively, you have the ability to create a scorecard from scratch by clicking on a question type to add that item to your scorecard. You’ll also have the option to mark each question as required once you click into the item and begin customizing the content.

There are 9 different question types that can be used when creating a scorecard in Nimble:

Direction text: this item can be used to share instructional text and interview expectations or guidance with interviewer(s).

Text question: this item is typically used to ask a question and provide a space for the interviewer’s notes on the candidate’s response.

Multiple choice: this question offers users the ability to capture multiple choice responses and/or yes or no questions. You also have the ability to make this question a multi-select if there is more than one answer for the question.

Nimble question: co-developed with our research partners, this question bank includes teacher interview questions that most predict classroom effectiveness.

Rubric: the rubric item allows interviewers to evaluate candidate competencies against a rubric, with criteria corresponding to each numerical score.

Rating: this item can also be used to rate a candidate on specific competencies, allowing you to set the rating scale and limiting responses to numerical scores.

Attachments: this item allows interviewers to upload a file, such as a picture of paper interview notes, a work activity completed by the candidate, etc.

Final recommendation: this question can be added to allow the reviewer to summarize whether they recommend the candidate. Users can select yes, no, or maybe. If desired, you can designate that this question be visible on the scorecard preview. The final recommendation question can only be added once on an individual scorecard template.

Cumulative score: users can add the cumulative score question to a scorecard when they want to calculate the total sum of ratings and/or rubric points on a given scorecard. The cumulative score question can only be added once on an individual scorecard template.

Once you are done customizing your scorecard, you can click the Save form button.

If you need to edit or delete an existing scorecard, you can do so by navigating to the existing scorecard. Click the arrow on the right of the scorecard from the settings page.

From there you can edit and save the scorecard or to delete a scorecard, click the Delete form button in the bottom left corner of the opened scorecard.

As a Super Admin you have the ability to edit and save changes on any of the existing organization-wide scorecard templates. All other user types only have the ability to edit their own scorecard templates.
