Overview

Users now have the ability to set immediate, daily and weekly notifications for a handful of features within Nimble. From status updates to tagged notes, users will now receive an email notification based on their set preferences for these notifications. Notification types

Super Admin and District Admin have access to all notification types, while District Users and School Admin have limited access to notifications. As an example, District Users can set notifications for new job postings, but will only receive the notification for jobs they are tagged on. For School Admin, they have access to status change notifications, but will typically only be able to choose from the statuses available after the Hiring Pool status.*

*School Admin may have access to pre-hiring pool statuses if the district has customized the pre-hiring pool statuses in their settings. If School Admin have access to moving candidates to pre-hiring pool statuses, they will be able to set up notifications for these statuses.

Setting up a notification

Users can set up notifications from the settings page. To access settings, navigate to the top right corner, click your name and select Settings from the drop down menu.

Notifications is the first section you will see on the Settings page. Click the +New Notification button on the top right to create a new notification.

There are many options for notifications, you can review the list below to determine which notification options are best for you:

For Super Admin & District Admin

For District Users

For School admin

Frequency

Users can determine when they want to receive the emails for each notification type. Notifications can be set up immediately, daily or weekly. If users set an immediate notification, they will receive the notification as soon as the corresponding action is completed within Nimble. If users set the frequency to daily digest, they will receive one email with all the notifications at the end of each work day. If users set the frequency to weekly digest, they will receive a notification on Monday mornings.

Notifications by job

Super and District Admin have a few different options when setting up job-related notifications. These options include notifications for all jobs, notifications for jobs they own, and notifications by certain job categories.

Job owners

Users can now add job owners to a job posting on the job edit page. Tagging a job owner will trigger notifications for users who have notifications set up for jobs they own. To tag a Job Owner to a posting, navigate to the internal jobs page and create a new job or edit an existing job. You will then be able to tag a job owner (or multiple owners) below the District Users section within that posting.

Notifications by school

For some of the notification types, Super & District Admin have the ability to specify whether they’d like to receive notifications for All schools or Only certain schools. If you select, Only certain schools, you will be able to add as many schools as you prefer. This may be useful for staffing specialists or regional superintendents who manage a portfolio of schools.

Receiving & editing notifications

Users will receive these notifications via email. Most notifications will include links that direct the user to the relevant section within Nimble. If a user ever wants to make edits to their notification settings, they have the ability to do so by clicking the link at the bottom of the email.
