Overview

All jobs in Nimble can now be assigned a custom workflow. This means that rather than instructing teams and hiring managers about which statuses to use for different jobs, Super Admin and District Admin can create a master list of statuses in settings, and then select the applicable subset of statuses that candidates should flow through for each job.

Customizing workflows

Users can find the customizable workflow section under the job title field on the job edit page.

To set a new workflow, users can click the dropdown arrow and see all candidate statuses listed on the left hand side.

By default all statuses will be selected. Users can deselect statuses one by one or using the select all or clear all shortcuts. The hired status is the only status that cannot be deselected.

The first status selected for this job posting will be where all candidate applications land when submitted.

As an example, if user is posting a Director of Finance job that skips the pre-screening phase, he/she might deselect phone screen invited and phone screen scheduled for this job.

After that, anyone screening for Director of Finance, will only see Application Screen and then In-Person Invited in the status drop down.

As specified in the message box on the right of the workflow section, deselecting a status for this job means that users will be unable to move candidates into that status when screening for this job.

It’s also important to note that if a job is already live and/or already has candidates in it, and the workflow is later edited to remove some statuses that have candidates in them, those candidates will retain their current status until moved into another status.

Once a user is done making edits to the workflow, he/she can click the arrow to close the section and then scroll to the top and press save & preview.

The user will also be able to see statuses selected in the preview under the statuses section before clicking "Post job" to make these changes live.
