Overview

Super Admin & District Admin have the ability to add, edit and delete vacancies directly from the vacancy dashboard.

Adding a new vacancy

In order to add a new vacancy, navigate to the vacancy dashboard and click the “new vacancy” button.

The new vacancy modal will pop up and prompt you to select the corresponding job associated with this vacancy.

Start typing to find the job you’re looking for. You can filter through jobs with similar names by selecting a specific hiring season at the top. By default, the modal will show jobs in the current hiring season, but you can select all or another hiring season to add vacancies to other jobs.

Users also now have the ability to label the vacancy as “pending” or “approved”, this can help improve the accuracy of your vacancy count on the dashboard, allowing you the ability to mark a job as “pending” until you’ve received the necessary approval.

You can also adjust FTE count (from 0.1 - 1.0) by clicking the +/- buttons next to “# FTEs”. This allows you to account for part-time vacancies proportionally in your fill rates (in other words, you can add part-time positions to your dashboard, while counting them as less than full-time positions on your fill rate chart).

Lastly, you can assign a specific school location to the vacancy by clicking the school dropdown under the section labeled “this position is applicable to” and typing the school name, or scrolling to find the correct school. If the job is not school specific you can leave it as applicable to the “entire district”.

Updating an existing vacancy

Users can update an existing vacancy from the vacancy dashboard by clicking on the line item on the dashboard. The edit vacancy modal will pop-up and allow you the ability to make edits to the vacancy type, # of FTEs and the school details (if it’s a school-specific vacancy).

Adding vacancies via jobs page

Users can still edit and add vacancies through the “locations with this opening” section on the actual job posting via the jobs page or by merging posting requests from School Admins with existing jobs. Whenever a vacancy is added or deleted from via the jobs page, the total number of vacancies on the dashboard will still be updated accordingly.

Note that if the last vacancy at a given school is deleted directly from the dashboard, the school routing will not be removed from the location modal.

Also note that any vacancies added via the request process default to approved status and 1.0 FTE on the dashboard.
