Overview

We recommend creating a test candidate in Nimble so that you can understand the candidate application experience first hand, and test all communication templates in your screening process.

Select a Job & Log Out

If you'd like to test the application process for an active, closed job that is not yet live, you will first need to copy the direct link for that job, as it will not be visible on your external job board.

When previewing any active job, you can always share a direct link with candidates by copying the "Public link for sharing." Note that you cannot share the URL link in your browser with candidates and should always use the sharing link highlighted below.

Once you've copied the direct link to the job you'd like to test, make sure you use the menu in the top right corner to log out of your Nimble administrative account.

Alternatively, if you'd like to test a job that is already active, open, you can log out of your administrative account and then head to your external job board and click on the active job you'd like to submit a test application for.

Once you've selected a job from your job board or pasted the direct job link into your browser, click the apply button in the top right corner of the job preview page:

Create Your Test Account

Next, you’ll be prompted to sign in or sign up for an account. Click sign up on the right to create an account. You'll want to use a personal email address or an address different from the one you use for your administrative account.

Note that if your organization uses gmail, you can create unlimited alias email addresses by appending "+test" to your email address. You can find more information on creating alias emails in gmail in this article.

Complete Your Test Application

From there, you can fill out the application from the candidate's perspective. On the first two pages, you'll complete your profile. Then on page three you'll add supplementary information for that application. On page four, you'll review and submit your application.

Screen Your Test Candidate

Once you save & submit, you'll be taken to your candidate dashboard. Use the menu on the top right to log out. From there, you can log back into your administrative account to review the test application and move the test candidate through your screening process.
