Overview

Nimble’s job template functionality is designed to save time and effort by allowing you to reuse common job posting components. This guide will walk you through the process of creating and managing templates, which allows for efficient and streamlined job posting.

If you have already created your templates and would like to learn how to apply them, refer to Posting Jobs and Using Templates.

Creating a job template

Creating a new template in Nimble is a straightforward process. To begin, click “Jobs” in the header and navigate to either the “View Jobs” or “View Templates” page.

Next, open the new template modal by clicking “+ New Template”.

First, give your template a name. Next, decide if you would like to start your new template from scratch, or if you would like the new template to be based on an existing job posting. If you would like to start from scratch, leave the optional “existing job” field blank; otherwise, select the job you would like to base your new template on. (Note: Local question sets will not be copied into templates from existing jobs, due to their local nature. However, global question sets will be copied).

If you would like to save your new template but not edit it at the moment, click “Create & Save”. You will return to the previous page and will see your new template on the templates page when you refresh.

If you would like to immediately edit your new template, click the drop-down arrow and click “Create and Edit”. Then, click “Create and Edit” and you will be led directly into the template editing interface.

On this page, you can customize your template to suit your needs. For example, if all of the special education jobs in your district have the same job description and benefits, it may be helpful to create a “Special Education” template with these fields populated. Then, the next time you post a special education position, it will only take a few clicks to apply the template, customize any remaining fields, and post the job.

Similarly, if all full-time teaching roles have a similar job category, salary, and associated scorecards and question sets, it may be helpful to create a template called “Full-Time Teacher” with those fields complete, to expedite your job posting process.

Once you have tailored the template to your satisfaction, save your changes by clicking the "Save" button.

If needed, you can delete the template using the “Delete Template” button in the bottom-left.

Managing your job templates

Once your new template has been created, you can access your templates by selecting "View Templates" from the dropdown menu under the "Jobs" button in the header. This action takes you to the template list view, where you can see various details such as the template name, the date it was created, the creator’s name, and associated schools, if applicable.

Similar to job filtering, you will have template filtering options on the left-hand side, enabling you to streamline your view according to specific criteria (e.g., category, grade, hiring season). You can also search your templates by using the search bar.

Mousing over a template will reveal 3 quick actions. The first quick action, "Create job from template", allows you to quickly create a new job that incorporates all elements of the selected template.

The second quick action, "Delete", deletes the selected template.

The third quick action, "Edit", allows you to make any necessary changes to the selected template.

You can switch between the templates page and the jobs page at any time using the toggle at the top.
