Funny Sounding Words in Generated Ads

Have you noticed strange word pronunciations while listening to your AI-generated ad's voice over? This can be a common occurrence because the AI may not always get the pronunciation right for words that are usually easy for humans to understand.

Curious about why this happens? The AI is trained using a vast amount of human-generated speech data. While it can usually produce perfect results, there are some instances where the AI may struggle to understand or mimic certain words, especially place names, suburbs, street names, words with silent letters, or numbers.

Don't worry, there are still ways to make sure that your ad is being listened to and understood correctly. We recommend listening carefully to your ad's voice over and taking note of any words that sound a bit funny or not normally heard that way. This can help you identify any potential pronunciation issues and make necessary edits to improve the quality of your ad.

Additionally, if you notice any persistent mispronunciations, you can reach out to our support team for assistance. We're always looking to improve our AI's speech capabilities and value your feedback!

You can follow the below tips to help edit your voice over:

  • Spell out difficult words phonetically. AI voices can recognize when words are spelled the way they sound. This is especially helpful for words that have the same spelling but a different pronunciation.

  • If you would like to hear each letter in an acronym, capitalize each letter and add spaces in between. If the acronym is used as a word, phonetically spell it out.

    • Ex: "A K A" instead of "a.k.a." or "AKA"

  • For complicated long words, try splitting the word into phonetically spelled syllables.

  • For phone numbers close together 1800-234-444 it will say it as (One thousand eight hundred, two hundred and thirty four, 4 hundred and forty four) try separating each number 1 8 0 0 2 3 4 4 4 4 so the voice over speaks it out individually. Or simply say "call the number on the screen for a quote today"
