How to Cascade the Leadership Team's Vision to All Teams
The leadership team's Vision page has an option to Share Vision with All Teams. This function allows all teams to view the leadership team's Vision from their team pages.
If a Vision section has been cascaded to all teams, it can't be edited by individual teams.
When on the leadership team's Vision page, find Share Vision with All Teams. Turn it on by toggling to the right. This allows all teams to see the leadership team's Vision.
Cascade or de-cascade individual sections
This is different from the Share Vision with All Teams toggle above: sharing lets other teams view the leadership team's full Vision, while cascading mirrors a specific section onto every team's own Vision so its content stays identical across the organization. Cascading is useful for sections most companies want to be the same everywhere — Core Values is the most common example. Once a section is cascaded, it appears on each team's own Vision with a Leadership flag and can't be edited by individual teams; any changes are made on the leadership team's Vision and flow to everyone.
Note: Cascading individual sections requires the Custom Vision feature to be enabled in Company Settings (Configuration → Vision → Custom Vision). The Share Vision with All Teams toggle does not need to be on. See Custom Vision Feature.
To cascade or de-cascade a section:
On the leadership team's Vision, click the pencil icon in the top-right corner of the section's card.
Turn the Cascade to all teams toggle (at the top of the card) on to mirror that section to every team, or off to let each team keep its own version.
Other teams' view
When View Leadership Vision is toggled on through the team's page, you see the leadership team's Vision. If View Leadership Vision is toggled off, you see all cascaded Vision sections and your team's individual Vision sections.
Cascaded sections have a Leadership flag in the top-right corner of the widget. Editable sections have a Pencil icon in the top-right corner of the widget. You can edit any sections that haven't been cascaded.
Long-term Issues
The Long-Term Issues section of the Vision tool is unique because each long-term Issue must be individually given the ability to be seen through a Public toggle.
By default, Issues aren't public, so you must select the Public toggle (visible only on long-term Issues) to allow them to be shared when other teams view the leadership team's Vision.
SWOT
The SWOT tab follows the same rules. Every team can have its own SWOT analysis. Sharing the leadership team's Vision also shares that content.
