How to Add Your EOS Implementer® to Ninety

Only a user with Owner-level permissions can invite or add someone as an Implementer.

To add a user as an Implementer in your account:

  1. Click Directory from the left navigation.

  2. Click Add teammate.

  3. Click the Role access dropdown and select Coach at the bottom of the list.

  4. Add your coach's email address.

  5. Click the Add teammates button.

Note: Selecting the Coach role removes the Teams field because coaches have access to all non-private teams.

Implementer Permissions

Add your Implementer, coach, or any advisor as a free user with complete access to edit and view your full account with similar permissions to an Admin user.

  • Edit all teams (except Private teams)

  • Invite users

  • Control Billing (adding a credit card and updating subscriptions)

  • Add/Create any content

  • Start meetings

  • View Feedback Conversations

However, Implementers cannot be assigned content (Rocks, To-Dos, Issues, and so on).

Updating an Existing User to Implementer

Follow these steps to turn an existing user on your account into an Implementer:

  1. Click Directory from the left navigation.

  2. Find the person in your Directory who can become your Implementer.

  3. Click on their current role in the Role column.

  4. Click on Implementer from the dropdown menu.

Once someone has the Implementer role, they cannot be assigned to any teams and will be removed from any teams they were on previously. Their role allows them to view and edit all teams on your account (except private teams).

How to Remove an Implementer from Your Account

Typically, Owners and Admins can remove users from a Ninety account. However, due to the unique nature of having an Implementer or business coach working with your company, only Owner users can remove an Implementer.

To permanently remove an Implementer from your account, a user with Owner permissions should follow these steps:

  1. Click Directory from the left navigation.

  2. Click their name (you may need to search for them first).

  3. Click Delete User.

Troubleshooting: Implementer can't add or create items

If someone with the Implementer role says they cannot add issues, to-dos, rocks, or other content in a client's account, they were most likely added to that account as an Observer instead of as an Implementer (Coach). The Observer role is view-only — it cannot create or edit any content.

To check and fix this, an Owner or Admin on the client account should:

    1. Click Directory from the left navigation.

    2. Find the Implementer's name and check the Role column.

    3. If the role shows Observer, click it and select Coach from the dropdown.

    4. Ask the Implementer to refresh their page — they should now have full create and edit access.

Create vs. assign: Implementers can create issues, to-dos, and rocks and assign them to team members. They cannot have items assigned to themselves as the owner. If an Implementer is unable to create items at all, the cause is almost always an incorrect role — not a platform limitation.
