Performance mode and Page Link

How to enter and exit performance mode, and how to use the page link feature to skip or cut to a different page.

Updated over a week ago

If you use nkoda to perform, performance mode is for you.

Entering and exiting performance mode

To enter performance mode, tap the curtains icon at the top right hand of your screen. The score fills out the screen in this mode and the only functionality that is available is page-turning, which is done in the usual way of tapping on the right and left hand sides of the screen.

To leave this mode, simply long-tap or hold anywhere on the score. A black cross will appear, tap this to exit.

Page Link tool

One feature that's particularly useful during performances is the Page Link tool. Page link has been created to make skipping between different points in the score as easy as possible whilst in performance mode.

The Page Link feature can be found in the tools list. To activate the Page Link tool, open up a tool box and click the plus button. You’ll find the tool under the ‘Navigation Section’, but you can also search for the tool directly. Once added to your toolbox, click anywhere on the page where you’d like to add the link.

Once added, click edit. You can change to colour, size and opacity. If you activate the ‘Set Page Link’ toggle, you can select the page that you would like to link to using the scrubber.

Once set, click save - you’ll see the linked page reflected in the ‘Page link’ marker on your score.

To see the page link in action, head into Performance mode. When you tap on the Page Link icon, you'll be taken to your desired place in the score.
