How to zoom in/out and pan on a score.

How do I zoom in/out?

On tablets and phones:

  • To zoom in - use two fingers on the screen and move them away from each other (a reverse pinching motion)

  • To zoom out - use two fingers on the screen and move them towards each other (in a pinching motion)

On desktops:

To zoom in:

  • Laptop trackpad - Use two fingers on the trackpad and move them away from each other (a reverse pinching motion).

  • Laptop trackpad (Mac) - Hold the command [Cmd] while scrolling with two fingers on trackpad

  • Laptop trackpad (Windows) - Hold the command [Ctrl] while scrolling with two fingers on trackpad

  • Mouse (Mac) - Hold the control key [Cmd] while turning the mouse wheel.

  • Mouse (Windows) - Hold the control key [Ctrl] while turning the mouse wheel.

  • Keyboard only (Windows) - Hold the control key [Ctrl] while pressing the plus [+] key

  • Keyboard only (Mac) - Hold the command [Cmd] while pressing the plus [+] key

To zoom out:

  • Laptop trackpad - Use two fingers on the trackpad and move them towards each other (in a pinching motion).

  • Laptop trackpad (Mac) - Hold the command [Cmd] while scrolling with two fingers on trackpad

  • Laptop trackpad (Windows) - Hold the command [Ctrl] while scrolling with two fingers on trackpad

  • Mouse (Mac) - Hold the control key [Cmd] while turning the mouse wheel.

  • Mouse (Windows) - Hold the control key [Ctrl] while turning the mouse wheel.

  • Keyboard only (Windows) - Hold the control key [Ctrl] while pressing the minus [-] key

  • Keyboard only (Mac) - Hold the command [Cmd] while pressing the minus [-] key

How do I pan on a score?

On tablets and phones:

When zoomed in,

  • use a 1-finger or a 2-finger drag to pan through the score

  • In annotation mode, use a 2-finger drag to pan through the score

On desktops:

When zoomed in,

  • Mouse - Click, hold and drag the cursor to the desired direction

  • Laptop trackpad - Click, hold and 1-finger drag to the desired direction

  • In annotation mode, Trackpad (Windows), Hold the control key [Ctrl] while clicking & holding and perform a one finger drag to the desired direction

  • In annotation mode, Mouse (Windows), Hold the control key [Ctrl] while clicking & holding and drag the cursor to the desired direction.

  • In annotation mode, Trackpad (Mac), Hold the command key [Cmd] while clicking & holding and perform a one finger drag to the desired direction.

  • In annotation mode, Mouse (Mac), Hold the command key [Cmd] while clicking & holding and drag the cursor to the desired direction.
