My graph isn't generating - what should I do?

Troubleshooting tips for when your graph generation fails, times out, or produces unexpected results.

If your graph isn't generating or you're seeing errors, try these solutions:

Common issues and fixes

1. Graph generation times out or takes too long

Symptoms: Spinning loader for more than 60 seconds, or timeout error

Solutions:

• Simplify your prompt - try describing fewer steps or concepts

• Break complex systems into smaller graphs

• Refresh the page and try again

• Check your internet connection

2. Graph is incomplete or missing nodes

Symptoms: Only partial graph appears, or key concepts are missing

Solutions:

• Be more specific in your prompt - name the exact steps or concepts

• Use clear language and avoid ambiguous terms

• Try rephrasing your description

• Add more detail about relationships between concepts

3. "401 Unauthorized" or login errors

Symptoms: Error message about authentication or being logged out

Solutions:

• Log out and log back in

• Clear your browser cache and cookies

• Try a different browser

• Contact us if you're a beta user having access issues

4. Graph looks wrong or illogical

Symptoms: Nodes or edges don't make sense for your use case

Solutions:

• Edit the graph manually - click nodes to change labels and connections

• Regenerate with a more detailed prompt

• Specify the relationships more clearly in your description

• Remember: the AI interprets your prompt, so clarity helps

5. "Generate" button is disabled

Symptoms: Can't click the generate button

Solutions:

• Make sure you've entered text in the prompt box

• Wait if a graph is already generating (button disables during generation)

• Refresh the page if it's stuck

6. Browser compatibility issues

Symptoms: Graph doesn't display, buttons don't work, or page looks broken

Solutions:

• Use a supported browser: Chrome (recommended), Firefox, Safari, or Edge

• Update your browser to the latest version

• Disable browser extensions that might interfere

• Try incognito/private mode
