How to Redeem a Referral Code?

Learn how to redeem your Nomad referral code at checkout or in the promos tab with step-by-step instructions.

If your friend has sent you a referral code, simply redeem it the same way you would redeem a promo code. As a new user, you'll receive a $5 discount on your first purchase when using a valid referral code.

Note that you have to be a new user without any previous purchase history in order to redeem a referral code (in other words, you can only enjoy a referral discount once. You cannot redeem multiple referral codes from multiple friends). Referral codes are only valid for plans priced at $5 or more. Creating multiple accounts to bypass this restriction is not allowed and will result in the invalidation of referral benefits.

  • To redeem a referral code, simply apply it at check-out, in the field "Add Promo Code". If the code is valid, it will automatically be saved to your profile and applied to your order.

  • You may also navigate to My Account > Promos > and enter the referral code there to save it to your profile.

  • Once completed, your purchase will award your friend with a $5 credit (as a random one-time use code/Reward Promo) that your friend can redeem with future purchases.

  • Note that it is not possible to redeem referral codes retroactively for a purchase that has already been made.

  • Note that Trial eSIMs aren't eligible for a referral discount. In case of refunds for orders where a referral code was applied, the same referral code cannot be redeemed again.

Referral codes can be redeemed on both the iOS and Android apps, as well as our webstore. Make sure you update to the latest version of the app to enable referral code functionality.

Note: The following plans cannot be purchased using promo codes, referral codes, or points:

  • Unlimited Thailand 10/15/30 Day Plans and DTAC (50GB, 10 Days) plan.

  • Any plans priced under $5. However, users will still earn points upon successful purchase of eligible plans.

How do I apply the referral code? To apply a referral code as a new user:

  • At checkout, enter the referral code in the "Add Promo Code" field. If the code is valid, it will be saved to your profile and applied to your order automatically.

  • Alternatively, you can go to "My Account" > "Promos" and enter the referral code there to save it to your profile.

Why didn't I receive a reward when my friend purchased?

  • Ensure your friend correctly used your referral code.

  • Confirm the plan purchased met the pricing and eligibility criteria.

  • Verify that the transaction was completed.

What if I forget to apply the referral code during purchase? Unfortunately, referral codes cannot be applied retroactively to a purchase that has already been made. This policy is strict with no exceptions, even in cases involving refunds or other purchase adjustments.

Can I reuse the referral code for a second purchase? No, referral codes are single-use only and can only be applied to your first purchase. Refund scenarios will also not allow the same referral code to be used again. Even if you create a new account, referral codes cannot be reused for any subsequent purchases.
