Selecting the right products to advertise is a crucial step in running successful self-serve ad campaigns. The effectiveness of your ads depends significantly on the SKUs you choose to advertise. This guide will walk you through the product selection process which includes product selection strategies, adding SKUs to advertise, and bulk uploading SKUs to advertise.

Product Selection Strategy

To develop a successful product selection strategy, it is important to categorize SKUs based on their role in your advertising efforts. Below are the key product types and recommended strategies:

Advertise these SKUs prominently during deal periods to drive higher engagement and conversions.

  • Advertise products that belong to the same category/subcategory/product family and price point in one campaign

  • Make sure your advertised products are set up for success by optimizing your product detail pages


Adding Products to Your Campaign

Each ad type has specific limits on the number of products that can be advertised within a single campaign.

💡Tip: You can advertise more SKUs by creating more campaigns.


To select products to advertise, browse through all the available SKUs in your catalog or use the search function by entering a product name or SKU. If you manage multiple seller and brand accounts, you can filter by brand or seller to narrow down your selection. Once you've applied the filters, review the results to identify the best SKUs to include in your ad campaign.

Bulk Product Upload

To save time, you can use the Bulk Product Upload feature to add multiple SKUs at once. This feature is available only for Product Ads and provides two methods: uploading a file or copying and pasting SKUs.

Note: Bulk upload is only available for Product Ads

Uploading a File

Prepare a file in Excel format (.xlsx or .xls) with all the SKUs listed in Column A, one SKU per row. Click on the “Bulk Product Upload” tab, then select “Upload File.”

Choose your prepared file and upload it. If needed, download the sample file available on the platform for guidance.

Copying and Pasting SKUs

You can also copy and paste a list of SKUs directly into the platform. Format your list as a comma-separated string (e.g., ZG1JSICL,SLSISO,SOAXL) without extra spaces or line breaks. Click on the “Copy and Paste SKUs” option, input your list, and verify it.

Note

  • In case you are managing an account for multiple sellers and brands, ensure at least one brand and one seller are selected

  • Match brand and seller data between the filter and the SKU list in your file

  • Double-check your list for accuracy before proceeding

Once completed, click “Add Products” and then “Save and Next.”
