✨ What's New in Noon: 21/11/2023 - Scanning Phase and Worklife Area Reports!

This month, we infused Noon with a fresh sense of direction by introducing a scanning phase, with shiny new reports at the end of each week!

Last release, we introduced scheduled actions, allowing you to track the success of initiatives you put in place at the personal, team or organisation level to improve your relationship with work. We're super excited about how we see this feature being used so far! 🚀

Your feedback, however, highlighted something we simply had improve before making scheduled actions even better—infusing Noon with a renewed sense of direction and progression. That's why, this month, we've shipped a scanning phase: allowing you to build up a comprehensive picture of your team's relationship with the 6 areas of work life over 6 weeks, with a brand new report on each area at the end of each that gets to the heart of how your team really feels.

The Scanning Phase

New Noon customers (and existing customers by request—just send us a quick message at hello@noon.work!) will enter the Scanning Phase when they first onboard to the platform.

In each of your dashboards (personal, team and organisation-level), you'll see a timeline that looks like this:

The Noon scanning phase timeline, showing each of the 6 worklife areas along with how far the team has progressed through each. Between each work-life area progress bar, there is a clickable link to browse the worklife area report for that week.

Starting with the areas of worklife that have the biggest influence on stress levels (Control and Workload) we'll ask two questions from each of the 6 worklife areas to each member of your team every working day for 6 weeks. At the end of each week, you'll get a detailed report on your organisation's relationship with that worklife area, plus a more granular report for each team in your organisation!

Once the scanning phase is over, Noon enters the Action Phase, falling back to a light version of scanning. We'll no longer ask questions to your team every day, but will instead only do so when we detect a significant change in your team's sentiment, when you manually initiate a check-in, or if you have check-ins configured as part of scheduled actions.

By introducing this new phased approach, our aim is to infuse Noon with a new sense of direction and progression—first by scanning your organisation for the areas that need the most attention, then pulling back on the number of questions we ask while inviting you to go into action mode.

New Worklife Area Reports

At the end of each week of the Scanning Phase, we generate a brand new worklife area report to give you insight into how your team feels in the area scanned that week. Here's what they look like:

A screenshot of a Noon worklife area report, showing user scores on a bell curve, a breakdown of the team's topic-level scores in the worklife area in question, and a breakdown of answer frequencies for each question asked by Noon during the week.

Let's break down what we see above:

  • We start off by placing each member of your team on a bell-curve. Team members closer to an average score (50) will appear closer to the middle, while outliers will appear closer to the edges. Each team member is anonymous, but you are visible to yourself as a Noon logo.

  • We then break down how you compare to your team across each topic that makes up the worklife area, allowing you to benchmark yourself against the rest of the team.

  • Finally, we break down how you answered each question compared to your teammates. Again, your answers are visible only to you.

We've been using these reports internally at Noon for a while, and they're our favourite that we've designed so far. We can't wait to hear what you think!

We're already hard at work on what's coming next for Noon! Stay tuned, we have a whole bunch of new features and improvements to ship before the year is out! 🍂
