What is Snap-a-Task?
Snap-a-Task lets you turn real-life follow-ups—calls, texts, voicemails, emails, mail on the counter, a whiteboard, a handwritten list—into actionable Tasks from an image.
Whether it's a reminder to respond to someone, call them back, or follow through on something you just saw, Snap-a-Task removes the friction between "I should do that" and "It's on my list."
Three Ways to Snap a Task
Pick whichever one matches where you are when the thought hits.
1. From Inside the App
The fastest route. Tap the camera icon next to the + button on your Horizon.
From there you can:
Take a photo — point your camera at a piece of mail, a receipt, a whiteboard, a school form, a sticky note
Choose from your gallery — pick any photo or screenshot already on your phone
2. Share from Anywhere
Still the best option when the thing you want to capture is already on your phone and you're not in NoPlex.
Take a screenshot using your phone's built-in screenshot feature or find an image in your Photo Gallery.
Tap Share → select NoPlex. After you take the screenshot or find your image, tap the share icon. You'll see NoPlex as an option—tap it.
3. On the Web
Working at your desk? Snap-a-Task is now on the web app too. Click the camera icon next to the + button on your Horizon and choose the image you want to turn into Tasks.
What Happens Next
However you started, the rest is the same.
It Processes (1–10 seconds)
NoPlex scans the image and surfaces all the possible Tasks it detects based on the context.
You Choose What to Keep
You'll see a list of suggested Tasks—each with a checkbox. Deselect anything you don't need, tap the title of any Task to reword it, and confirm to add the rest to your Horizon.
That's It
Your selected Tasks appear on your Horizon, ready to take action, edit, or schedule.

Migrating from Another App
Switching to NoPlex from another to-do app? No need to retype your entire list. Just screenshot the tasks from your old app (even across multiple screens), share each screenshot to NoPlex, and confirm the suggested Tasks. It’s fast, and you won’t lose anything in the shuffle.
Good to Know
Available on iOS, Android, and the web. The in-app camera icon works everywhere; taking a live photo is a mobile thing.
Any image works—not just screenshots. Photos, screenshots, and shared images all go through the same flow.
No repeating Tasks (yet). Snap-a-Task doesn't currently let you set a recurring schedule during import. You can always edit a Task afterward to add repeat logic.
For the share menu, NoPlex must be installed and you must be logged in. Otherwise NoPlex won't appear as a share option.
Nothing is added without your say-so. You always confirm the suggested Tasks before they land on your Horizon.
FAQs
Can I use Snap-a-Task on my computer? Yes—this used to be mobile-only, but Snap-a-Task is now available in the web app. Click the camera icon next to the + button on your Horizon.
Do I still have to take a screenshot and share it? No. That method still works and is great when you're already looking at something outside NoPlex, but you can now start straight from the app with the camera icon next to the + button.
Does Snap-a-Task work with images from my photo library? Yes. Choose Gallery from the camera icon, or open the photo and share it to NoPlex—either way works, screenshot or not.
What if NoPlex isn't showing up in my share menu? Make sure the NoPlex app is installed and you're signed in. On some devices, you may need to enable NoPlex in the share settings the first time you use it.
What if it doesn't find any Tasks? Sometimes an image doesn't contain a clear action, and NoPlex will tell you it couldn't find one rather than guessing. You can retake the photo or pick a different image right from that screen—no need to start over from your Horizon.
What if my image is too large? You'll get a heads-up and the option to try again with another image. Cropping to just the part you care about usually gives better results anyway.
