Basic users are limited to 10 Collections. Access unlimited Collections by becoming a Navigator. Learn more.

Collections in NoPlex serve as a combination of directories, notebooks, tags, labels, or anything else you might be familiar with from other apps. In order to maintain simplicity,

Collections are "one to many" relationships β€” meaning that a Task, Note, or Routine can only be associated with one Collection, but a Collection can have many Tasks, Notes, or Routines associated with it.

This functionality allows you to organize your items by themes, projects, or any other classification that suits your workflow, enhancing your ability to access and manage related tasks efficiently.

Navigating Collections

You can select any number of Collections to view. On the web, clicking a Collection name toggles it on/off, double-clicking it will "solo" it (deselect all the others), and then double-clicking again selects all Collections. The mobile app behaves the same, except the double-click action is a press-and-hold action.

How Collections Work

Let's look under the hood.

Collections are Shared Across Each Type

Whether you're using Tasks, Notes or Routines you will see the same Collections. This encourages simplicity and helps you to streamline how you organize and relate items.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

Collections are color-coded, and each Task, Note, and Routine will have a small colored dot next to its title indicating the Collection by its color.

You can change the color of a Collection by pressing +/- Manage Collections in the Collection list and pressing the colored dot next to the Collection title.

Navigation

  1. Where to find them: Collections are found on every artifact page (Tasks, Notes, Routines and Events). Each artifact starts out with a "No Collection" option by default which cannot be deleted but can be used as a catch-all for any uncategorized artifacts.

Web: Collections will appear as different colored pill shapes on the left of the artifact list (Tasks, Notes and Routines) and you can use "+/- Manage Collections" which will take you to an editing experience. You can also edit collections for an individual artifact from the respective detail page.

Mobile: Collections are available from the left drawer and clicking this area will open a control panel allowing you to click them as filters or edit them further.

Creating and Managing Collections

This is easy stuff - you've got this...but just in case you find yourself staring blankly wondering how to get started - we've got you.

Create a Collection: Navigate to the Collections area and select "+/- Manage Collections" button. Find the "plus sign" and enter a name for your new Collection here. Voila!

Editing Collections: You can edit the name or color of a collection by clicking directly on the name or the color for the collection, from the collection menu view which is different for Web and Mobile as previously described.

Archiving Collections: If you decide to delete/archive a Collection you will be prompted to move all Tasks associated with that Collection to a different Collection, which can be the default "No Collection" if you choose.

Getting the Most out of Collections

NoPlex is designed to allow you to personalize based on the way you think. Collections are the categories that best describe your mind...so whether you're super specific, like "Sci-Fi movies recommended to me on Sundays",or generic, like "House Stuff"β€”do what works for you.

Purpose-Driven Categorization: Organize Collections by project, priority level, or context (e.g., work, home, personal development) to streamline finding and managing related tasks and notes.

Evaluate and Reorganize: You're the boss - periodically review your Collections to ensure they remain relevant to your current needs. Don't hold back delete, merge or split Collections as you discover what suits your needs best.
