How to Repair a Tear or Hole in Your Down Jacket

We recommend using our self-adhesive repair patch, specially designed for textile repair on down products.

For Small Holes

  1. Clean the area – gently wipe around the hole with a damp cloth and let it dry completely.

  2. Trim the patch – cut it to the desired size with rounded edges. Make sure the patch overlaps the damaged area by at least 25 mm (1 inch) on all sides.

  3. Apply the patch – peel off the white backing paper, place the adhesive side down over the hole, and press firmly into place. Start in the center and work outward to avoid air bubbles.

  4. Optional – heat for extra adhesion – place baking paper between the jacket and an iron set to medium heat (2 dots). Press gently for 10–15 seconds until the patch is securely attached.

When to Send It in for Repair

If the damage is larger, or if the fabric around the tear is very thin or worn, we recommend sending the product to us. Our repair team can re-stitch the jacket’s down “chambers” for a more permanent solution. This applies to both exterior and interior damages.

Good luck with your repair!
