We're really excited to introduce you to the brand new Northwest Adoption Exchange (NWAE) and Washington Adoption Resource Exchange (WARE) websites!

For the past couple of years our team at NWAE has worked hard to improve how we champion youth in care and empower them to participate in adoption recruitment and the process of telling their story. Now with our new websites and a redesigned look and feel, we believe that we can do more justice to the stories of children and families, all while inspiring more people to adopt from foster care than ever before.

Here are some of our favorite changes you'll notice on the new sites.

  • Featured Youth profiles that are more youth-centered with bigger, brighter images and an increased focus on strength-based information and youth engagement.
  • More ways to connect! See that little chat box in the right hand corner of your page? We'll be using it to share some of our favorite content with visitors to the sites and you can use it to chat with a member of our team to share updates and get answers to questions.
  • Mobile responsiveness. We know how important it is to be able to check out our sites on the go, so you can expect all areas of the sites to be mobile friendly.
  • An informative new Help Center (right here!) where you'll find a growing selection of resources for some of the most frequently asked questions about adoption from foster care.

On the technical side, if you previously had an active WARE account and logged into that site in the last 15 months, check your email for an invitation to activate your account on the new site. If you're a NWAE user, there's still no need to create an account to be able to view featured youth and place inquiries.

We hope you have a great time exploring the new NWAE and WARE websites. As with any redesign process, there will always be some bugs to fix and some updates to make, so if you have any feedback or questions, feel free to reach out to us via the new chat feature, or as always, email and phone.

We can't begin to explain how lucky we are to get to work with such amazing youth, families, and workers. We hope you'll like this new chapter. Thanks for helping us along the way.
