Learn how signing notifications work, the ways you can respond, and tips to increase your chances of being selected as a notary on Notary Everyday.

Notary Everyday connects signing agents with nearby signing opportunities in real time. Understanding how this works helps you respond faster and win more signings.

How Signing Notifications Work

When a company creates a signing request, they can notify signing agents in two ways.

1. Individual Requests

The hiring company selects specific notaries and notifies them directly by text (SMS) or email.

2. Auto Notifications (for Signing Services)

For signing services using automated dispatch:

  • The highest-ranked eligible notary is notified first.

  • Additional notaries are notified in ranked order.

  • The signing service sets how many notaries to contact.

  • Multiple notaries may respond, giving the signing service more options.

  • Once a notary is assigned, no further notifications are sent.

How You'll Be Notified

Signing opportunities can reach you through:

  • Text message (SMS) — includes a secure link to respond.

  • Email — includes the same details and a link to respond.

  • AI phone call — for signing services that have enabled it (see below).

What's in the Request

However you're notified, you'll see the same key details:

  • Signing date and time

  • Signing location (city / state)

  • Signing type (e.g., in-person or RON)

  • Offered pay

  • Special instructions

  • Signing service contact information

Responding by Text or Email

Each SMS and email includes a link. Open it and choose:

  • I'm Available — Accept the signing at the offered fee.

  • I'm Not Available — Decline.

  • Counter — Propose a different fee.

Responding by AI Phone Call

Some signing services have enabled Notary Everyday's AI Assistant, which can call you about an opportunity so you can respond by voice — useful when you're on the road and can't tap a link.

When it may call you:

  • Right away, alongside the text, for time-sensitive orders.

  • As a quick follow-up a few minutes after a text, if you haven't responded yet.

On the call, the assistant will:

  • Identify the signing and walk through the date/time, city/state, signing type, and the offered pay.

  • Ask how you'd like to respond.

You can respond by voice:

  • Yes — Accept the signing at the offered fee.

  • No — Decline.

  • Counter — Propose a different fee (just say the amount).

Your response is sent to the signing service immediately, exactly as if you'd replied by text. If you've already replied another way, the assistant won't call.

A Note on Timing

Notifications and responses happen in real time, and a signing may be assigned to another notary before you respond. Replying promptly — by any channel — gives you the best chance of being selected.

Assignment Confirmation

If you're selected, you'll receive a confirmation by text and email with the subject:

"You've been assigned an order (#)"

The order will also appear in your Notary Everyday dashboard.

Managing Notifications

  • To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any SMS notification.

  • Hiring companies can pause or resume notifications at any time.

  • The final selection is always made by the company based on their needs.

Tips to Increase Your Chances

  • Keep your profile accurate and complete.

  • Enable text notifications so you can respond quickly.

  • Reply promptly — speed matters in real-time dispatch.

  • Maintain a strong rating and complete profile to receive notifications before other agents.
