We are happy to announce the release of NowForce Dispatcher Version 5.16. This version reflects our ongoing effort to consolidate the Admin/Settings pages in a new design and to improve the Dispatcher screen look and feel.

Admin/Settings Page new look:

The Menu ('burger') icon in the upper left corner of the Dispatcher screen was replaced with a new Settings ('gear') icon:

The entire content under the old 'Menu' icon, can now be found by clicking the 'Settings' icon and opening the new consolidated 'Settings' page:

Upper Tool Bar:

On the upper tool bar of the Settings page you will find the 'Home' icon. Clicking on it will navigate you back to the main Dispatcher screen. The 'Search' field enables you to search for items on the Settings page.
On the right side of the tool bar, you can see the 'User Details' icon and the 'Help' icon which you are already familiar with.

Consolidated Setting Pages:

All Settings pages are now on one page organized in four main sections: Users, Organizations, Geography and Incidents. By clicking on the section title, you will be able to view the section's relevant pages, and by clicking on any category, the page will be displayed on the right. The chosen section and the title of the page you're viewing will be highlighted in blue.

In the screenshot above, we chose to view the 'Groups' Settings page, under the 'Users' section. On the right side, the Group Setting page is displayed.

Note: You will have access only to the settings categories that you have been granted permission to view and/or edit. To update your access permissions, please contact your Administrator.

If you click on the arrow above the Settings Pages section, the bar will minimize and only the Settings Pages icons will be displayed:

Hovering the mouse over icons will display a tool tip for the section.

The Groups Settings Page - New Look and Feel:

A new look to the Groups Settings page, where you can view and edit the organization's groups. Hovering the mouse over icons in the left column will display an actions list. Clicking on Edit Group will open the Group Management window:

In the new Groups Management window, you will be able to define the group name, icon and code (optional), add members to the group and see all all relevant information related to the group (creation date, group settings updates, control centers with access to the group, etc):

Incident Panel

Few changes and improvements to the Incident panel display for more convenient use:

The source column
will display only the initials and phone icon of the incident source (where applicable).
When hovering over the source field, a tooltip with the full name and phone number of the source will be displayed:

When the Incident panel is open in a non-full-screen mode - the column names will be replaced with icons:

New Look and Feel to the Incident Management window:

The Log Field:

The log entry field will no longer be open by default. The dispatcher can now decide whether s/he prefers to have the log field open or closed by clicking on the 'Log/Chat' button:

Let us review the buttons we have in the new log field once it is open:

After entering text in the log field, the dispatcher can either post the text as a chat message to all Incident participants by clicking on the 'Post & Log' button, or enter the text only as an Incident log update by clicking on the 'Log Only'.
To send a status update, the Dispatcher can click on the 'Flag' button and chose the status to be posted.

The log field will maintain its open or closed position also when the Dispatcher toggles between the Incident tabs or opens other incidents.

The log field will be visible in its chosen position (open or closed) on all incident tabs. This allows to view incoming video streams and simultaneously post a chat/log:

Incident Progress Bar

The Incident Progress Bar located at the top of each Incident Manager Panel helps the Dispatchers to monitor the Incident state, reflecting the latest status changes of the Responders in the incident.
White background means the state has passed, Light blue means this is the current state, and dark blue is for future states.
The timestamp reflects either the moment the relevant state was reported or the SLA time set for a future state (i.e. time set for arrival).

Clicking anywhere on the Incident Progress bar will open the SLA time update popup:

New Permissions

Change Password Permission:

The option to change the app user password will no longer be enabled by default. Administrator can now decide whether or not a user profile will have the permission to change a password in the app.
This new permission can be found under the 'Other App Modules' section in the 'Permissions' Settings page:

Two-Factor Authentication:

The Two Factor Authentication allows to verify the user identity when logging-in to the dispatcher or the app, and can provide your organization with an extra security protection layer.
Users with this permission will receive, after entering their credentials, a text message and/or an email message with a code that will verify that the person logging-in indeed has access to the phone and/or email.

Sending Smart Messages from the Users panel

The dispatcher can now send smart messages (app messages) to users from the Users panel by hovering over the user icon and clicking on 'Message' in the actions drop-down list :

After clicking 'Message' in the drop-down list, the 'Compose Message' window will open, and the specific user will already populate the recipients list for that message:

Version 5.16 also includes bug fixes to the NowForce Dispatcher.
