User Permissions Profiles determine the authorization and access of each class of user within Nowforce. Each user is assigned to a Permissions Profile, and based on that profile, can see and has use of, different functions of the Dispatcher or the Mobile Application.

How to View Permissions Profiles Settings

  1. From the Main screen, select Settings > Users, and then select Permissions.

The Permissions Profiles table opens.

2. Click View on the Permission Profile that you with to view. The list opens, you are able to scroll but unable to edit:

How to Edit Permission Profile Settings

  1. In the Permission Profiles table, click Edit button in the row of the Profile you want to edit. 

The Profile Name and Description columns are now editable, and the Edit button replaces the View button in the Permissions Details column.

To Change the Name and Description of a Profile: 

  1. To change the name and description of a profile enter new text into the Profile Name and Descriptions. Click Save.   

To Edit the Permissions of a Profile:

Note: Edits will affect all the users currently assigned to this profile.

  1. Click Edit in the Permissions Details column, the Permissions window opens. All licenses associated with that Profile are activated for editing.
  2. Click the checkboxes to select the permissions you want to change.
  3. Click Confirm to save the changes, the Permissions window closes.
  4. To apply the changes to the profile you are editing, click Save in the Permission Profile table. A confirmation window appears, informing you that your changes will affect all the users currently assigned to this profile.
  5. Click OK to authorize the changes.
  6. Click Save on the Permissions Profile table.  

Note:  If you want to cancel the edits made, select Cancel on the Confirmation Window and again in the Permissions Profile table to discard all changes.  

To Add a Permission Profile: 

  1. Enter a profile name and description on the bottom of the Permissions Profile table. Click Add.

A new profile is created and is seen in the Permissions Profile table.
2. To configure the permissions allowed for the profile, click Edit in the Permissions Details column, the Permissions window opens.
3. Click the checkboxes of the Licenses associated with that Profile are activated for editing.
4. Click the checkboxes to select or un-select the permissions you want to associate with the Profile.
5. Click Confirm to save the changes, the Permissions window closes.
6. To apply the changes to the profile you are editing, click Save in the Permission Profile table. A confirmation window appears, informing you that your changes will affect all the users currently assigned to this profile.
7. Click OK to authorize the changes.
8. Click Save on the Permissions Profile table.  

To Delete a Permission Profile

  1. In the Permission Profiles table, click Delete button in the row of the Profile you want to delete.  
  2. A confirmation window appears, click OK.
