Nowsta integrates with Google Calendar to streamline event scheduling and coordination. However, users may encounter syncing issues. This guide provides troubleshooting steps and solutions to common problems.

Common Issues and Resolutions

1. Confirmed Shifts Not Appearing in Google Calendar

  • Verify that the shifts are confirmed and assigned to you in Nowsta. Only confirmed shifts are synced.

  • Check if your Google Calendar is properly connected in the Nowsta app. If not, reconnect it (see steps below).

2. Google Calendar Events Not Updating

  • Ensure both the Nowsta and Google Calendar apps are updated to their latest versions.

  • Disconnect and reconnect Google Calendar in the Nowsta app (see steps below).

Step-by-Step Guide to Reconnect Google Calendar

  1. Remove Nowsta’s Access in Google Account - Open your Google Account’s third-party app connections. - Find Calendar permissions associated with Nowsta. - Delete all connections you have with Nowsta and confirm.

  2. Disconnect Google Calendar in Nowsta - Open the Nowsta app. - Go to the Profile tab and tap Google Calendar Sync. - Select Disconnect Google Calendar.

  3. Reconnect Google Calendar in Nowsta - In the Nowsta app, go to the Profile tab and tap Google Calendar Sync. - Select Connect Google Calendar. - Choose the Google account that matches your Nowsta email and grant permissions.

  4. Verify the Connection - Create a test shift in Nowsta and confirm it. Check if it appears in your Google Calendar.

Important Notes

  • Past events and shifts scheduled before reconnecting Google Calendar will not be restored.

  • Only shifts confirmed after reconnection will sync going forward.
