If you don't want to install the Intercom Messenger just yet, you can still get started by importing your users first. You’ll be able to create an Intercom account, populate your user list and start sending emails right away. Here’s how:
Enter your email address on the Intercom homepage and choose whether you’d like to import your data by:
CSV/Spreadsheet (lets you import custom user attributes)
MailChimp (includes your users’ IP)
Or Mixpanel (includes last_seen)
Then follow the super quick instructions provided.
Important: To track user activity, send in-app messages and use the Intercom Messenger, you still need to install the Intercom JavaScript code.
Sign up for your free Intercom trial
Don’t forget that to get going with Intercom you need to sign up for a free trial.
Select a product to start a free trial. You get a 14 day free trial of each product, which you can start at any time.
After your free trial ends, Intercom's products start at $49/month.
If you cancel in the first 14 days you won't be charged.
What’s next?
Once you’re logged in to your Intercom account, open the Intercom Setup Guide (lower left hand side of your screen). Here you can complete your setup and learn how to get the most out of Intercom.
