1) First, you must go to the Marketplace module, then to the Sales Analysis section, where you will find the Top Selling Products, Top Sellers, and Official Stores.
It is important to remember that Mercado Libre organizes its entire marketplace by category, so it's important to know the category where your listings are placed in order to improve their performance.
2) Once you have selected the category, you will find the top 100 best-selling listings in the category at the bottom left, organized by turnover or unit sold. You can also filter sellers by the type of medal they have. This way, you can see which posts from sellers with regular reputation have made it into the top 100 and analyze why a seller with a gold or platinum medal is not selling them instead.
3) At the bottom right you will find the most keywords for the category. They will allow you to analyze the relationship between the words that users use to search for a product and the number of listings that exist for that search.
You may find unmet demand for a type of product. If the most top searched words do not match the top-selling products, it means that users are looking for products that are not listed as bestsellers because either there is no supply, they are not competitive enough or there is currently an opportunity to start selling.
4) To analyze the sellers and official stores, in the same module and the same Section, go to the top sellers and Official Stores view.
There, you will find the ranking of the best sellers for the category on the right side of the view and the best official stores on the left side. Remember to select the categories where you have listings available.
You can organize both rankings by revenue or units sold. This way you can find the best vendors and official stores to add to your tracking groups.
We recommend following the category leaders to analyze in detail how they operate.
