How do I refresh my data?

If your data is missing or different from the source platform, use the refresh button in Data Factory.

Nugit automatically refreshes data sources every day between 1am-5am SGT, taking into account the timezone of each data source. During this process, the past 4 weeks of data up to the previous day are updated to reflect any adjustments made by the platform, such as conversions, revenue, clicks, and media spend.

However, due to ad hoc changes on datasource platforms, you may occasionally encounter differences between your data on Nugit and datasource platform user interfaces.

If you are seeing a difference between the same cut of data between Nugit and your data source's platform, you can use the refresh button to request current data from platform APIs. You might want to use the Refresh button in these cases:

  • To sync differences when you rename items such as campaigns on your platforms (i.e. so all data from one campaign shows under the same name for its entire duration, not different names before and after it was renamed.

  • To sync differences between metrics on platforms and on Nugit, in cases where a difference is found due to API latency

Step-by-step: How to use the 'Refresh' button

  1. Find your source and click the arrow next to the 'Settings' button in Data Factory.

  2. Click 'Refresh data'. Select the date range you'd like to refresh for, then click 'Start'.

  3. Your datasource status will change from 'Not Activated' to 'Queued for Import' or 'Importing'.

  4. You're all set now! The data may take a few moments to load and you'll be able to work on your stories shortly."

The speed at which data is refreshed depends on various factors, including the size of the data source, the selected date range, and the speed of the API. For larger data sources, such as those spanning three or more years of data, the API response time may be slower, when there is more data within the selected date range..

These data source platforms cannot be manually refreshed through Data Factory, due to daily limits on API requests to these platforms:

  • Google Analytics

  • Doubleclick Bid Manager

If you need to refresh historical data for these platforms, please contact Nugit support via the Intercom chat box located at the bottom right of the Nugit web app.
