Welcome to the Form Builder user guide! Form Builder is part of the Nuj platform, designed to help you build and manage APRA Superannuation Data Transformation (SDT) forms from your organisation’s raw data. By simplifying data mapping and validation, Form Builder helps you create compliant, on-time APRA submissions with minimal fuss.

Who Should Use This Guide

This guide is intended for clients who have accountability for building forms for submission to APRA Connect. Often, these are data analysts, accountants, or system administrators responsible for official reporting in their organisations.

How to Use This Guide

  • Master Data guides you through Master Data management, focusing on its role in ensuring data consistency and visibility of updates across the platform.

  • Reference Data guides you through how to manage Reference Data, explaining its connection to Master Data and its use in supporting accurate reporting.

  • File Manager Step-by-step process for uploading Raw Data into the platform, validating it against regulatory requirements, and handling any errors that arise.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Nuj platform with the Form Builder module enabled

  • Basic onboarding and training on the platform’s core workflows

  • Familiarity with APRA reporting requirements relevant to your forms

Platform Benefits

  • Centralises data management so you can update your Reference and Master Data in one place

  • Reduces manual rework by automatically mapping and validating data

  • Minimises compliance risks thanks to built-in checks for errors and inconsistencies

  • Saves time each reporting cycle, letting you focus on the numbers rather than fiddly formatting

Data Types in Form Builder

The module relies on three data types to ensure accurate form building and reporting:

  1. Master Data – Authoritative, higher-level fund or entity information (e.g., RSE Profiles, Investment Pathways, Fees and Costs Arrangements). Underpins all forms.

  2. Reference Data – Fund-specific data that enriches or overrides raw source data. Only one version can exist at a time.

  3. Raw Data – Source, transaction-level data you upload. Multiple files of the same format can be added as needed.

Note: Updating Master or Reference Data after you’ve uploaded Source Data can trigger new validation checks or require you to rebuild partially completed forms.

Key Stages in the Form Builder Workflow

  1. Review and Edit Master Data
Confirm the organisation’s core structure (e.g., products and fees) is correct.

  2. Review and Edit Reference Data
Ensure any fund-specific information is accurate.

  3. Select Form, Add and Validate Raw Data
Upload your source files. The system automatically flags errors, warnings, or nudges.

  4. Review and Manage Validations
Correct any issues so your form data is fully valid.

  5. Build the Form

    View the Schema
Once validated, Form Builder constructs your APRA-ready form. Check the schema to confirm accuracy.

  6. Download the Form
Finalise and confirm you are satisfied with your form before downloading for submission or transfer to the Core Workflow.
