Ways to set up your AT&T landline to work with Numa

  1. Online at myAT&T (easiest)
  2. Using Star Codes (if you don't know your web login and are at your business phone)
  3. Call AT&T

Online at MyAT&T

As long as you have your myAT&T account login this is very easy to do online. Just follow these steps:

  1. Login to your myAT&T account
  2. Under "My Services" navigate to your phone plan and press "Manage Plan"
  3. Under "Phone Features" select the option to "Manage Phone Features"
  4. In the "Call Forwarding" section turn ON "No Answer Call Forwarding" and enter in the "Numa Number" assigned to you Business location. You will have the option to set the number of rings before forwarding incoming calls. We recommend setting this to 3-4 rings. Unanswered calls should now go to Numa.
  5. In the "Call Forwarding" section turn ON "Busy Call Forwarding" and enter in the "Numa Number" assigned to you Business location. When the phone is tied up (busy), calls will go to Numa.
  6. In the "Call Forwarding" section turn ON "Safe Call Forwarding" and enter in the "Numa Number" assigned to you Business location. In the unlikely event AT&T service is down in your area, calls will go to Numa.

Using Star Codes from your AT&T Business Phone

  1. From your business phone, dial *92 followed by the ten digit call forwarding number assigned to you by Numa followed by #. Example: (*92 1-555-222-3333#)
  2. Wait for a confirmation that your calls will be forwarded when you are unable to answer them
  3. From your business phone, dial *90 followed by the ten digit call forwarding number assigned to you by Numa followed by #. Example: (*90 1-555-222-3333#)
  4. Wait for a confirmation that your calls will be forwarded when your line is busy

Call AT&T

Call AT&T directly and have customer service add both Call Forward No Answer and Call Forward Busy to your phone line.

Setup Instructions

  1. Dial 800.288.2020
  2. Verify your telephone number
  3. Press 0 to speak with a customer service representative
  4. Tell the representative that you would like to activate two features on your business's phone number: "call forward no answer" and "call forward busy"
  5. Provide the representative with the call forwarding number assigned to you by Numa

How to Confirm It's Working

Call your business's phone number from your personal phone. If nobody answers, you should hear your Numa Voicemail greeting.

Troubleshooting

Make sure you don't have an answering machine picking up your calls before they get forwarded.

If your business's phone line is part of a hunt group (multiple lines that ring until one is answered), you may need to set up forwarding on all the lines involved. Alternatively, you could remove your business phone line from the hunt group.

Contact your phone provider and have them double check that forwarding was set up properly and is active on your line.
