Setup Instructions

To forward missed calls from your Sonic Fiber/IP Broadband phone to Numa:

  1. Log into the CommPortal in Member Tools.

  2. Navigate to Voice -> Phone Number List. Select the phone number that you would like Call forwarding enabled. This will bring up your CommPortal.

  3. Inside the CommPortal under Call Settings -> Call Forwarding. Turn on Busy Forwarding and No Answer Forwarding. Set forwarding to your Numa number.

IMPORTANT: Please note that if you have standard Sonic Fusion Voice (non-IP) line, Sonic does not currently support Call Forward No Answer (CFNA) or Call Forward Busy (CFB). See Sonic Article here. Instead, you may want to consider using your Numa number as your primary number, and when a customer calls it, Numa can ring your Sonic phone. See this Numa article for more details.

How to Confirm It's Working

You can place a test call by going to Settings > Phone numbers > Test my setup or call your business's phone number from your personal phone. If nobody answers, you should hear your Numa Voicemail greeting.

Troubleshooting

Contact your phone provider and have them double check that forwarding was set up properly and is active on your line.

Turn Off Call Forwarding

Return to the CommPortal using the instructions above and uncheck the Busy Call Forwarding and No Answer Call Forwarding boxes.

โ€‹No matter what, don't hesitate to contact Numa support! We'll happily work with you and your service provider to get you all set up.
