Setup Instructions

To connect Numa to your Telus Office Line, you need to have Telus enable:

  • Call Forward No Answer

  • Call Forward Busy

And have Telus forward those missed calls to your Numa number. Unfortunately, Telus requires you to contact them to set up the forwarding number. You can do that here: https://www.telus.com/en/business/small/contact-telus?intcmp=sbs/tbs_support_link_contact-us

IF TELUS ALREADY HAS YOUR NUMA NUMBER SET AS THE FORWARDING NUMBER (see above), here is how to turn on and customize the features:

  1. From your office phone, dial *92, listen for 2 beeps, hang up

  2. From your office phone, dial *90, listen for 2 beeps, hang up

To Customize the number of times that your Telus Office phone rings before it sends the call to Numa (optional)

  1. From your office phone, dial *94, listen for 3 beeps, then a dial tone

  2. Enter the number of rings the caller hears before the call is forwarded (from 2 to 9)

  3. Listen for 2 beeps,

  4. Hang up

How to Confirm It's Working

You can place a test call by going to Settings > Phone numbers > Test my setup or call your business's phone number from your personal phone. If nobody answers, you should hear your Numa Voicemail greeting.

Troubleshooting

  • Contact your phone provider and have them double check that forwarding was set up properly and is active on your line.

  • Ensure that you don't have another voicemail system (or answering machine) on your line as it may answer the call before Telus sends the call to Numa.

Turn off Call Forwarding

  1. Call Forwarding No Answer: Dial *93, wait for 2 beeps, and hang up

  2. Call Forwarding Busy: Dial *91, wait for 2 beeps, and hang up

No matter what, don't hesitate to contact Numa support! We'll happily work with you and your service provider to get you all set up.
