Step-by-Step: How to Create a Service Item
Use these steps to add a service you sell to NuMetricโs inventory system. This is essential for issuing invoices and tracking income, even if youโre not using the full inventory module.
To Add a Service Item:
Go to the Inventory section.
Click Item.
Click Create Item.
Click Add Item.
Enter the Item Name.
Fill in the Description.
Under Type, select Service.
Confirm the "Is this a service?" field as Yes.
Select the appropriate Income Account.
Choose a Service Income Account if needed.
Choose or create an Item Category.
โYou can add a new category by typing in the field and pressing Enter.Select the Item Unit (e.g., Hour, Unit).
Enter the Selling Price.
If registered for Sales Tax, select the applicable tax. If not, leave it blank.
Click Save to finalize the item.

These instructions are based on a Basic Inventory Module without the Inventory Plus Module enabled / needed.
Step by Strep:
1. Navigate to "Inventory"
โ2. Click "Item"
โ3. Click "Create Item"
โ4. Click "Add Item"
โ5. Click the "Item Name" field.
โ6. Fill "Description" field. These Steps are to create an Item "Service we sell"
โ7. Navigate to the "Service" and select.
โ8. Select "Yes" field.
โ9. Select Income Account.
โ10. Select Service "Income" Account.
โ11. Select Item "Category" If the category is not listed, you can create it by typing in the "Category" field and clicking Enter to save.
โ12. Select the Item Unit (Hours, Unit, etc..)
โ13. Add the "Item Selling price"
โ14. Select Sales Tax - on Sales if you are registered in Sales Tax. If not, keep it blank.
โ15. Click "Save" to create the item.
