Nurture Teacher Creating Channels and Assignments

As a Nurture teacher, your students’ Nurture journey begins with you! You will need to add Nurture to your channel, add classroom details and begin making assessments. Please find below the steps you will need to follow to get set-up.

1.1 Creating a Teams Channel

Download the Teams app if you have not done so already.

Log in to your Microsoft Teams account.

On the left-hand side of your screen, you will see your existing channels. At the top right of this tab, you will see a plus symbol.

Click on the plus symbol.

Choose whether you would like the Team to be public or private.

Name your Teams channel.

Add your students.

You have now created a Microsoft Teams channel and are ready to add Nurture!

  1. Download the Teams app if you have not done so already.

  2. Log in to your Microsoft Teams account.

  3. On the left-hand side of your screen, you will see your existing channels. At the top right of this tab, you will see a plus symbol.

  4. Click on the plus symbol.

5. Choose whether you would like the Team to be public or private.

6. Name your Teams channel.

7. Add your students.

8. You have now created a Microsoft Teams channel.

1.2 Adding the Nurture App to your Teams Channel

Click the plus symbol at the top of your Teams channel to open the app store within Teams.

Use the search bar to find and select the Nurture app.

On the Nurture page, click 'save'.

Nurture will now be added as a tab in your Teams channel under 'Nurture'.

Click 'login with Microsoft Teams' to start using Nurture.

  1. Click the plus symbol at the top of your Teams channel to open the app store within Teams.

2. Use the search bar to find and select the Nurture app.

3. On the Nurture page, click 'save'.

4. Nurture will now be added as a tab in your Teams channel under 'Nurture’

5. Click 'login with Microsoft Teams' to start using Nurture.

1.3 Adding Classroom Details as a Teacher

After logging into the app, a pop-up window will welcome you to Nurture.

Fill out the 'Classroom Details' as appropriate.

Navigate to 'Curriculum' to upload your curriculum, marking schemes, chief inspector reports, etc. Click on 'Upload Curriculum'. Note: Ensure that you have these documents downloaded or saved on your computer or Drive.

Select the relevant files you want to include and click 'upload'.

Once completed, click 'save settings' to finish this process. Your ‘Classroom Details’ are now saved

  1. After logging into the app, a pop-up window will welcome you to Nurture. Select ‘Okay, let’s go’

2. Fill out the ‘Classroom Details’ as appropriate.

3. Navigate to ‘Curriculum’ to upload your curriculum, marking schemes, chief inspector reports, etc. Click ‘Upload Curriculum’. Note: Ensure that you have these documents downloaded/saved to your computer or Drive.

4. Select the relevant files you want to include and click ‘upload’.

5. Once completed, click ‘save settings’ to finish this process. Your classroom details are now saved!
