When creating an assessment, you can specify the types of questions you want the Nurture Assistant to generate in the assessment description box.

The types of questions it creates all depends on the instructions you give it.

For instance, you could instruct the Nurture Assistant to create :

  • Short Answer Questions

  • Long Answer Questions

  • Essay-style Questions

  • Multiple-Choice Questions (with any number of choices per question)

  • Create a mix of different question types

  • Give students the choice of One Essay style question or choose 2 out of 4 Long Answer Question Options.

You can ask the Nurture Assistant to create any style of question you can think of and it rate questions as per your instructions.

⚠️ Note

For Multiple-Choice Questions, make sure to specify that the assistant should also provide an answer key. Remove this answer-key from the description and make a note of it for later when you are correcting students work.

Nurture does not have any functionality for students to answer assessments like MCQ's directly within the app just yet. Students will still need to write their answers on a document outside of Nurture and submit it as an attachment.

Example

In the 'What would you like an assessment about?' input field, if I ask the Nurture Assistant to :

"Short answer questions on the structure of a human cell"

and I select 10 questions in the 'Number of Questions' dropdown in the Advanced Settings like so :

Then it will generate 10 Short-Answer Questions similar to these in the description box :
