What is Web Researcher?
Web Researcher is a Nuvo Intelligence feature that automatically searches the web and gathers public information about a customer when their application is submitted. It helps you understand who they are, validate application information, and better assess risk.
When does it run?
It runs after a customer application is submitted or resubmitted with new data. It does not block the submission and does not affect your customers' experience. Currently, we do not automatically refresh results.
How does it work?
We use Google to search the public web (company websites, addresses, key people, and recent news/mentions) and cross‑check findings against the application. Any new information found that wasn’t originally provided in the application is marked with a “New” badge.
How do I understand the results?
The insight card has three sections:
Summary: A quick overview of what’s known about the business.
Application Information: matches between application details and what was found online.
News & Mentions: News articles and other public references to the company.
You can click "View Details" to see the full research report.
How can I confirm information or dig in deeper?
Each web result includes citations with links to the original sources.
I'm seeing inaccurate or unhelpful information. What do I do?
Click "View Details" to see the expanded report. From there, you can mark each section as helpful or not helpful and add optional comments. Your feedback directly helps improve the system.
