USB Bluetooth Dongle - User Guide

Learn how to set up and use the included Bluetooth dongle if your computer doesn’t have built-in Bluetooth support

1. System Requirements

  • Windows 7, 8, 10, or 11 (32/64-bit)

  • CPU: 500 MHz or higher

  • RAM: 1 GB+

  • 500 MB free disk space

2. Prep Your Device

Before installing the Realtek Bluetooth driver:

  • Uninstall any third-party Bluetooth software

  • Disable built-in adapters:

    • Open Device Manager

    • Right-click and disable both:

      • Generic Bluetooth Adapter

      • Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth Adapter

  • Restart your computer

2. Install the Dongle

  • Plug in the USB dongle to an available USB port

  • Windows will install basic drivers automatically

3. Confirm Installation

  • Open Device Manager

  • Look under Bluetooth for “Realtek Bluetooth Adapter”

4. Pair Your Device

  • Once installed, a Bluetooth icon will appear in your system tray

  • Right-click the icon and choose Add a Bluetooth Device

  • Follow prompts to complete pairing

6. Can’t Find Your Device?

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & other devices

  • Click Add Bluetooth or Other Device

  • If it still doesn’t appear, use the “Add a Device” button at the top of the Bluetooth settings window
