About the coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19)

On 30 January 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC) for the current outbreak of coronavirus disease, known as COVID-19.

Given the health and safety risks posed by this virus, we are asking our teachers and students to please review your local authorities' travel guidance and health advisories related to this outbreak, in addition to global guidance from the WHO. We strongly urge our community to take necessary precautions to protect yourself during this outbreak.

What to do if you want to change your booking?

We are urging all our students, where possible, reschedule your bookings rather than cancel. Rescheduling your booking could save one of our small businesses from going under!

Our exceptional circumstances policy covers our students who are being impacted by the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We're closely monitoring official guidance from the UK Government and the World Health Organization in order to support the health and wellbeing of our learning community.

In relation to COVID-19, our exceptional circumstances policy applies to bookings & workshops that must change or cancel:

  • In order to comply with disease control restrictions implemented by relevant governmental or health authorities

  • In order to perform medical or disease control duties in connection with the COVID-19 outbreak;

  • In the event that they are diagnosed or suspected of being infected with COVID-19 by a medical or health authority;

  • In the event that they have a death of an immediate family member or guest.

When does this not apply?

Unfortunately, our exceptional circumstances policy does not cover changes or cancellations made by students who wish not to attend events of their own volition.

If you are a student that is coming from overseas and have decided not to travel of your own volition, you will not be eligible to claim a refund under our exception circumstances policy, however you might be able to claim on your travel insurance.

Please note that any guidance we provide, relating to COVID-19 or other regulations, is general advice based on our interpretation of the regulations and official guidance. However, we cannot provide legal advice - teachers seeking legal advice should consult their own lawyers to obtain advice specific to their particular circumstances.
