Every objection moves through three stages:
Stage 1 — Pre-Investigation (24 hours). The author has been notified and has 24 hours to respond. The stage ends either when the author responds or when the window expires.
Stage 2 — Investigation. An investigator is assigned and is collecting evidence.
Stage 3 — Adjudication. Evidence is in. The AI deliberates and renders a verdict.
Status badges: Pending Author - awaiting response; Open - available for investigator assignment; In Review - judgment in progress; Judged - verdict rendered; Forfeited -investigator missed the deadline; Pending Approval - awaiting administrative review.
