Who are our Investigators?

The investigators on the Objection platform

Updated this week

Our investigators are some of the most qualified researchers in the world. They are ex-CIA and FBI agents, military interrogators, jurisprudence academics, award-winning investigative journalists, and other leading research professionals.

Our “investigators” are not licensed Private Investigators and do not sell Private Investigator services. This is for a few reasons:

  1. Our investigators have complete editorial independence. They use standard investigative reporting techniques, which are protected by the First Amendment. Once they take on a case, they gather all available evidence, regardless of whose interests are affected. They are like freelance investigative journalists hired by a newsroom.

  1. Our investigators do not work for objectors; they are contractors to the Objection platform. Nor do they sell their work to objectors. Objectors cannot influence the investigation once it starts.

  1. Investigators publish their research to the public in the public interest. They do not submit their report to the Objector for review. Objection is not for private matters like divorce or fraud. The research is not primarily used for private advantage, litigation, or insurance purposes.

  1. Our investigators are not attempting to prove the truth or falsity of a statement. They are disinterested and objective as far as possible.

In short, there is nothing “private” about our investigators.
