What is an Author?
An Author is the individual or entity whose published content is the subject of a formal objection on the platform.
Authors are not accused, silenced, or penalized by default.
They are given structured opportunities to respond, clarify, and rectify — before any verdict is rendered.
What is the Author's function?
The Author’s function is to participate in the adversarial process surrounding their published content.
Authors may respond to objections, dispute statement meanings, offer rectifications, and submit statements for the record.
Their participation is voluntary but consequential.
How do I become an Author on the platform?
You become an Author when an Objector files a case against content you have published, and you are invited to respond. You may also proactively claim your Author profile to receive notifications when cases are filed against your content.
Claiming your profile involves email verification and adds a verified badge to your identity.
What happens when an objection is filed against my content?
You are notified via email. From your Author Dashboard, you can:
View the specific statement being challenged
See the Objector’s interpretation of the statement's allegation
Review the article snapshot preserved at the time of filing
You are not obligated to respond. However, non-participation means the process proceeds without your input.
Can I dispute the meaning of a statement?
Yes.
If you believe the Objector has misinterpreted a statement, you may submit your intended interpretation. AI then determines the Judicial Protocol’s allegation. The Objector chooses whether to proceed with the JPT allegation or your interpretation.
This ensures that statements are evaluated based on their intended or most defensible meaning, not on mischaracterization.
What is rectification?
Rectification is your opportunity to resolve the case before investigation begins. You may offer one or more of the following:
Retraction — Withdraw or delete the statement
Correction — Issue a formal correction
Apology — Issue a public apology
If the Objector accepts your rectification offer, the case is resolved without investigation, without a verdict, and without public adjudication.
Rectification is voluntary. It is also the fastest path to resolution.
What is right of reply?
The Right to Reply allows you to submit a formal statement in response to the objection before judgment is rendered.
This statement is entered into the case record and considered during the investigation and verdict process.
Once submitted, your Right to Reply cannot be edited or withdrawn.
Does an objection mean my content is false?
No.
An objection is a challenge, not a determination. Content is presumed as published until evidence demonstrates otherwise through the adversarial process.
Many objections result in the content being upheld as accurate.
What is the Author Honor Index?
The Author Honor Index is a long-term credibility score reflecting how your published content has performed under evidentiary review.
Content that withstands scrutiny strengthens your score. Content that does not degrades it.
The Honor Index is visible on your public Author profile and contributes to your overall platform reputation.
Who benefits from participating?
Authors who:
Stand behind their published work
Welcome scrutiny as a demonstration of accuracy
Prefer to resolve disputes through structured processes rather than public argument
Value a permanent, verifiable record of their content’s credibility
Authors who participate constructively build durable reputational capital regardless of the verdict.
