An automation triggers automatically according to a predefined rule, without any manual intervention. Example: if a customer has not ordered for 60 days, they automatically receive a re-engagement email or SMS. You configure it once, the system takes care of the rest.
Tip before you start
Obypay provides pre-configured automations set up by its experts. From Automations, click Import shared automations to import them in one click and save time.
Step 1 : Create the automation
In the left menu, click Automations
Click Add
Fill in the fields :
Name : internal name (not visible to the customer)
Automation mode :
Notification (email / SMS) — sends an email or SMS
Notification + tags — sends an email/SMS AND applies a tag to the contact
Contact tags — applies a tag only, without sending
Notification type : select Email or SMS
Template : choose an existing template or No template
Rule : choose the trigger (see the complete list →)
Establishments : select the relevant establishments
Click Confirm
Step 2 : Configure the message
The created automation appears as a draft.
If you chose Email :
Option A — Custom HTML code
Enable the Custom HTML toggle
Enter the email Subject
Paste your HTML code
Include [[UNSUBSCRIBE_URL]] for the unsubscribe link

Step 3 : Preview and save
Click Actions → Preview to send yourself a preview
Click Save
Create a template to reuse the message in a future automation
Step 4 : Assign a reward (optional)
Go to the Campaign tab
Select a campaign
Click Actions → Offer a reward
Choose the type: Discount, Discount (%), Product, Category, Points, Favorite product, Favorite category
Configure: minimum amount, usage limit, validity date, recurrence, restaurants, time slots
Check the confirmation box and click Confirm
The assignment is instant and irreversible.
Step 5 : Modify the trigger rule
From the editor, modify the Rule if necessary
Set the delay in minutes before sending
Save
Step 6 : Activate or deactivate the automation
From Automations, click on the automation
Use the Automation activation toggle :
Green = active, messages trigger according to the rule
Grey = deactivated, no messages are sent
