How to automate tag assignment to your contacts ?

With tag-type automations, you can enrich your contact database silently — without sending any message. A tag is automatically applied as soon as a customer matches a defined rule. These tags can then be used to segment your contacts and target your campaigns.

The two available modes

  • Contact tags — applies a tag only, without any sending. Ideal for continuously segmenting your database without soliciting your customers.
Example : automatically tag "VIP-customer" all customers who have reached €1,000 in cumulative orders.

  • Notification + tags — sends an email or SMS AND applies a tag simultaneously. Ideal for notifying the customer while identifying them in your database.
Example : send a loyalty email AND tag "reward-won" as soon as a customer earns their 10th reward.

Step 1 : Create the tag beforehand

Before configuring the automation, make sure the tag exists.

  1. From Contacts, click Tags

  2. Click Create a tag

  3. Enter the tag name and confirm

Step 2 : Create the automation

  2. Click Add

    • Establishments : select the relevant establishments

  4. Click Confirm

Step 3 : Configure the tag to apply

Using tagged contacts

Once tags are automatically applied, find your segmented contacts from Contacts → Open advanced filters → Filter by tags. You can then create a targeted list and use it for an email or SMS campaign.
