Updating the OctoEverywhere companion is easy - even easier than installing it!
The OctoEverywhere Companion is a version of the plugin that can be installed on a device separate from the printer. Still, it allows the complete set of OctoEverywhere features for the 3D printer. The companion is helpful for printers that don't allow SSH access or don't have the computing overhead to run other software.
To update the OctoEverywhere Companion:
SSH into the device running the OctoEverywhere Companion.
Enter
cd ~to ensure you're in the home directory.Enter
./update-octoeverywhere.shto run the update script in your home directory.Wait for the script to finish the update.
Done!
The update script will automatically pull the new code and run the proper update scripts. It's just that easy!
